How to Prevent & Fix Leaks in On-Device Bubblers (Gordito & Curved Mini Bubbler)Updated 2 hours ago

On-device bubblers like the Gordito and Curved Mini Bubbler are designed to deliver smoother, cooler sessions—but if you notice leaking, it’s usually due to how the bubbler is filled or sealed.

The good news?
👉 Most leaks are easy to fix with a few simple adjustments.

💧 How to Fill Your Bubbler Correctly (Straw Method)

To prevent leaks, always use the straw method when filling your bubbler:

  1. Place the end stem of the bubbler into a cup of water
  2. Use the mouthpiece like a straw to gently pull water into the chamber
  3. Make sure no part of the stem is fully submerged while creating the seal

Why this works:
This method creates a proper internal seal and helps you avoid overfilling.

⚠️ Common Causes of Leaks

If your bubbler is leaking, it’s usually due to one of these:

  • Overfilling the bubbler
  • The bubbler being knocked over
  • Residue or buildup inside the glass breaking the seal
  • Small cracks in the glass
  • A weak draw when creating the seal

🔍 How to Check for a Proper Seal

To make sure your bubbler is sealed correctly:

  • Take a strong draw over a sink
  • This helps the internal percolator create proper suction
  • It stabilizes the water level inside the bubbler

👉 If it still leaks after this:

  • Check for cracks
  • Look for buildup inside the glass

Filling your bubbler to the right level is key:

  • ✔️ Keep water between 30%–50% capacity
  • ✔️ Ideal level: just above the percolator holes
  • ❌ Avoid filling it all the way

Why this matters:
Proper water levels ensure smooth function while preventing overflow and leaks.
